Follow me In The Footsteps of My Family.......

Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the world. I'm Jeanne, and I have traced my ancestors in Ireland, England and Scotland, The Shamrock, Rose and Thistle.

Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world.

Not just in modern times though! During the course of my own research, I have found a few surprises! Ancestors that moved around throughout Britain, and even further afield. This was long before my parents, still young children, arrived in New Zealand with their respective families in the early 1920's.

My two brothers and I were born in New Zealand, the children of Robert Walter MATHEWS and Jessie McMillan Mason McAUGHTRIE. Both of my parents were born in Glasgow, Scotland.

Most of my information has been obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that I have many more living relatives than I ever thought possible! And, I have no doubt, many more to discover!!
